Luanda — The Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, travelled this Friday morning to Lubango City, in the southern Huíla Province, to inaugurate the local central hospital and socio-economic infrastructures.
During his stay in this province, the President will meet with the provincial governor Ramos da Cruz and his executive, then the statesman will inaugurate the António Agostinho Neto Hospital in memory of the first and late Angolan president.
The Angolan Head of State will also visit the structures that will host the faculties of Medicine, Law, Economy and Education Sciences of Lubango's future public university to start in 2009.
José Eduardo dos Santos will also meet with chieftains and members of the local civil society, as well as will preside over a mass rally, in the centre of the town.
The statesman is in Huila in the company of his wife, Ana Paula dos Santos, and senior employees of his office.
At Luanda 4 de Fevereiro Airport, the Head of State received farewell greetings from the Angolan Prime Minister, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, the provincial governor of Luanda, Francisca do Espírito Santos, presidential aides and other members of the Angolan government.
The Head of State is due back in Luanda this Friday afternoon.
