Nigeria: Fulham Finally Get Etuhu

30 August 2008

Fulham have finally signed on Sunderland midfielder Dickson Etuhu for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old Nigeria international has penned a three-year deal with Roy Hodgson's men.

Etuhu feels there are exciting times in store of the Craven Cottage outfit and is just delighted to be part of it.

"It feels great to have signed for Fulham," Etuhu told the club's official website. "These are exciting times at the club.

"The club has made some terrific signings over the summer, adding to an already talented pool of players. Last Saturday's win over Arsenal shows just how competitive Fulham are.

"I'm looking forward to meeting up with my new team mates over the next few days, settling down and preparing for the club's next home game against Bolton in a few weeks' time.

"This is a crucial stage in my career and I'm delighted to have committed myself to Fulham for what I hope will be my prime years as professional footballer."

Hodgson has been keen to add a holding midfielder to his squad and is finally pleased to have snapped up the former Norwich midfielder.

"It's no secret that we've been in the market for a defensive midfield player over the summer and I'm pleased to welcome Dickson Etuhu to Fulham," said Hodgson.
