Harare — It is the big one in the Zifa Eastern Region this weekend with Eagles hosting Highway at Rudhaka in a game that could ultimately define the destiny of the championship race.
Both teams are tied on 50 points from 19 matches and have won 16 games, drawn twice and lost once.
Highway -- bankrolled by young Mutare businessman Binali Yard -- lead the race by virtue of a superior goal difference.
Eagles -- the most professionally-run Division One club in the country -- lost 0-1 to their bitter rivals at Sakubva earlier in the season.Eagles coach Arthur Tutani was still at Air Zimbabwe Jets when his team lost in Mutare.
This time he comes face-to-face with Lloyd Mutasa, who is battling to win a Premiership ticket from the Eastern Region for the second time in a row.
Mutasa led Kiglon into the top-flight league last season.
Meanwhile, ambitious Kadoma-based side Savannah Eagles have vowed to stop Northern Region Division One leaders Black Rhinos when they meet at Rimuka tomorrow.
Eagles have performed brilliantly in their debut season in Division One and have the capacity to beat the army side.
It's been a good fortnight of good football for the Kadoma fans who last weekend watched three Premiership clubs - Lengthens, Gunners and Chapungu -- in action.Eagles were beaten 0-3 by Gunners in a CBZ FA Cup first round tie at Rimuka.
