Uganda: Govt Sends Sh200 Million for Birembo

Kampala — THE Government has disbursed over sh200m to Kibaale district local government for the renovation and completion of Birembo Technical Institute, the district LC5 chairman.

George William Namyaka was addressing a youth conference organised by the Uganda Rural Development and Training Programme, an NGO operating in Kagadi town council.

"The Government wants the youth to be job creators not job seekers and that is why it is emphasising technical training," Namyaka said, adding that the youth should not sit down and claim that the Government has not helped them.

"The government has created a conducive atmosphere but have you used it well"? he asked.
