Magistrate Deen Tarawallie of court No 1A told Concord Times in an exclusive interview that the lack of computers and generators were among the many factors that hamper court proceedings.
He said if magistrates had computers at home, they would work at home and as such documents would not go missing at all.
"If we have computers as generators at our homes, we will be able to reduce the workload. We will put all information and data in accessible files so that no document will disappear," he said.
Magistrate Tarawallie said after the war they received many cases and most of the people charged in court were either idlers or jobless and street boys.
"The government should try to solve the problem of youth in the country," he said.
The magistrate said for courts to function effectively the government should provide logistics for magistrates.
"Loitering is among the common cases in court. The youth are the future leaders. Let us help them," he said.
