Nigeria/South Africa: Shittu Arrives in Port Elizabeth

Daniel Shittu arrived in Port Elizabeth on Thursday morning swelling the number of players in the Super Eagles camp to seventeen.

Shittu had been given special permission to join the team late so he could sort out a few issues with his new Premier League club, Bolton Wanderers.

Shittu missed four 2010 World/Nations Cup qualifiers in June as he recovered from an injury.

Meanwhile, spokesman/ media coordinator of the Eagles, Idah Peterside says they have a very fit side to go out against South Africa on Saturday.

"Of the seventeen players we have in camp, I can tell you that there are no major or minor injuries and the medical personnel do not have any such worries.

"Football is a contact sport and even in training players get knocks but this time it has been clean and every one is very okay," Peterside said.
