Windhoek — With local Premier League soccer teams making sure they are a force to be reckoned with in the new season, Cymot Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) have captured the signature of Zambian-born Chepela Chepela from Orlando Pirates.
Chepela played for Orlando Pirates last season, and helped that team clinch the title after many attempts to scoop the coveted trophy.
A media release by Cymot SKW yesterday stated that the first signing for the upcoming season of the Olympia-based club is the former Oshakati City and Orlando Pirates midfielder Chepela.
The team is currently in the middle of their pre-season programme, preparing for the 2008/09 season.
"There are some more interesting players who approached us," but for the moment Chepela is the first sealed contract, SKW spokesman Rolf Beiter said.
Cymot SKW manager Vincent Molzahn said: "There are another two to three big fishes on the hook, but we are still busy with negotiations."
The two managers promised to make the names of signed players public once everything is finalised. Nampa
