Monrovia — A special gospel ministry named and styled "Film Ministries" has been unveiled in Liberia.
The Christian Sharing Christ Film Ministries (CSCFM) is intended to win souls for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through filming gospel movies.
The head of the Ministry, Rev. Patrick Calhoun said most people like to watch Christian movies that touch their lives and bring about positive change in them.
"Movies touch all of our senses, therefore, when gospel films portraying the life and sufferings of our Savior for the redemption of mankind are screened, there is the tendency for people to be moved to give their lives for his cause.
Rev. Calhoun said film ministry was one of the most effective ways of preaching the word of God and winning souls to Christ.
He said his organization through the host Church, Watch and Pray Ministries Incorporated based in Iron Factory, near Monrovia, would ensure that the Film Ministry is spread throughout Liberia.
The American Prelate said now is the time for every Christian to take the initiative of winning souls unto Jesus by reaching out to those most in need.
He divulged that his ministries would provide training and equipment for local missionaries to help present the message of salvation using films to the largest number of people in the shortest possible time.
According to him, it was in this direction that his ministries decided to visit Liberia to establish the first film ministries in Africa.
He explained that gospel movies would be shown in cities, towns and villages in the country in order to win more souls for Jesus.
Rev. Calhoun said his organization would also establish the film ministries in Kenya making it the second country in Africa to have such ministries.
He disclosed that the ministry was currently in 16 countries and would also be extended to other parts of the world.
