Kampala — Sunday Vision has launched the international children's story, Frannie Learns A Lesson. The series encourages parents to read with their children.
Barbara Kaija, The New Vision deputy editor-in-chief, noted that if children see their parents reading, they learn to read, too.
"There are a number of activities that families can try out together in this series. We will give out cash prizes, including a grand draw in which we will give out over sh1m to a number of families," Kaija remarked.
Children reading Frannie Learns A Lesson series will have a chance to participate in the radio show, 'Kids World', on Vision Voice (94.8FM). The show runs every Sunday from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm, where children and parents will discuss the story.
To win a family prize, a parent and child should call into Vision Voice during the Kid's World show to answer any question on Frannie. If they get it right, they could win sh10,000 worth of airtime.
Five prizes will be given out every Sunday. They will also enter a grand draw in which 10 participants will win sh100,000 each.
