Lagos — SIGMA Apartments described by experts as a "trail blazer in the hospitality and tourism industry", has opened its luxury suites in Abuja for business.
According to a statement by its manager, Ms Fouzia Darsane, most of "the ultra-luxurious 48 one, two and three bed-room suites have either been booked or occupied".
"We are really impressed by the volume of patronage at this stage as we put finishing touches preparatory to the official inauguration of the complex to be performed soon," the statement said.
It quoted an industry expert as describing the apartments "with well-trained and world class staff as the first of its kind in this part of the world in terms of its peculiar features".
Such features, it said, included 'round-the-clock access control security system and mobile guards and state-of-the-art reception, concierge and maintenance services".
"Other noteworthy and edge-giving features include designated car pack spaces, customised information technology, central house-hold wastes removal, exotic restaurant services, swimming pool, fitness centre and laundry services."
It said that Sigma Apartments "which can be seen as the customer's lifestyle statement, is also fitted with state-of-the-art six-passenger lifts in each wing, international and local television channels on wall-flat screen plasma and a compact business centre."
