Uganda: NSSF Saga - Museveni Chairs CEC Meet Today

Kampala — President Museveni will today chair a meeting of the ruling party's Central Executive Committee, the top National Resistance Movement organ, where Security Minister Amama Mbabazi's Shs 11 billion land transaction with the National Social Security Fund is expected to be discussed. The State House meeting follows Mr Mbabazi's appearance last week before the National Resistance Movement Caucus to make a defence.

The parliamentary committee investigating the National Social Security Fund's controversial land purchase continues business today with former acting Solicitor General Jane Kiggundu appearing as witness.
