If the refreshing word of Asante Kotoko's coach, Bashir Hayford is anything to go by then a good result is expected as they host Algeria's J.S. Kabylie (JSK) in Kumasi, this Sunday.
"We failed to convert the numerous chances that we created because there was intense pressure on us to deliver at all cost, but having identified the rough edges, we will smoothen them ahead of our next game," was the words of coach 'Bash' after their 1-0 win over Sudan's El-Marreikh a few days ago.
The return of goal poacher Eric Bekoe from the Stars camp together with Kwadwo Poku and Samuel Inkoom has soared confidence in camp for the challenge ahead.
The North Africans have always proved tough customers for the Ghanaians, but Kotoko's new sensation, Francis Akwarfo will be expected to bring his current brilliance to bear on the attacking machinery. Kotoko are placed at the bottom of Group 'B' with three points, trailing El-Merreikh, Etoile du Sahel and JSK all with three points apiece. In the other pairing, El-Merreikh travel to Tunisia to play Etoile du Sahel this weekend, in an all North African affair.
