Nigeria: Bonny LG Canvasses Participatory Devt

Lagos — A people oriented and responsible government which caters for the development needs of the governed has been described as the panacea towards economic improvement at all levels in Nigeria.

This approach is being adopted by the Bonny Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers State, in a novel programme known as Participatory Rural Development Scheme (PARDS); to achieve an equitable distribution of development projects in the council.
