The top guns in local rugby folklore MTN Heathens, G4S Pirates and utl Kobs have all indicated their desire to win the second leg of the utl 7s Circuit that gets underway at the Dam Waters Grounds in Jinja this morning.

Record champions (six) of the four-legged circuit and winners of the first leg held at Kampala RFC three weeks ago, Heathens will be the team to beat once again.

"The pressure will be on us to maintain our stranglehold in the circuits. The guys have been looking good in practice," said Heathens coach Brian Tabaruka (pictured).

G4S Pirates who sniffed at victory before going down 17-12 in the first leg have promised to make amends.

"We will beat those guys (opposition). We learnt from the funny errors that cost us in the final. I've told the guys that every minute counts and they cannot afford to choke," said Pirates coach Sam 'Big Sam' Ahamya. Pirates will, however, be without the injured duo of Felix Lubega and Daniel Canowira.

For Kobs, it will be another two days at office for coach Fred Mudoola to try and talk his charges into transforming their 15s form to the 7s.

"Our target is to improve our semifinals finish in the last leg. If we reach the finals, we will play hard and hopefully win it," said Mudoola. Kobs are 3-time winners.

Their will however also be the small matter of hosts Nile RFC who will be buoyed on by the partisan home fans.
