Nigeria: Akwa Ibom Signs N33 Billion Entertainment Centre Contract

AKWA Ibom State governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio has signed a N33 billion contract agreement with Silverbird Showtime Limited for the state's Tropicana Entertainment Centre. On completion, the Tropicana would have a 16-storey building with a 250-bedroom five-star hotel, galleria with cinema, a 10,000 sitting dome as well as water parks.

Akpabio who signed the contract with Silverbird's managing director, Ben Murray-Bruce at Uyo, weekend, said that 15 companies bade for the job and three were selected, stressing that his administration was poised to make Akwa Ibom a tourism destination.
