Five players from Nigeria's Olympic football silver winning team have been invited to the Super Eagles for the match against Sierra Leone in October.
Nigeria are already through for the next stage of the 2010 World/Nations Cup qualifiers and Shuaibu Amodu has probably decided to give a run to the Olympic Games team players.
Apam Onyekachi, Ayodele Adeleye, Sani Kaita, Obinna Nsofor, Chinedu Obasi have been named in the team to play Sierra Leone.
Of the five, Onyekachi, Kaita, Nsofor and Obasi have already been part of the Eagles before; only Adeleye will be having his first experience.
In all, Amodu called up twenty players including the captain, Nwankwo Kanu and his deputy, Joseph Yobo.
Also, invited are Everton ace Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who captained the team in the 1-0 win over South Africa in Port Elizabeth on September 6, and Spain-based striker Ikechukwu Uche, who is Nigeria's leading scorer in the qualifying series with three goals.
The players are due to report at the NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja on Monday, October 6.
