Angola: Country Conquers Silver in Beijing

Luanda — Angola ended this Thursday its participation in the 23rd edition of the Beijing Paralympic Games, with three silver medals won by José Sayovo, in the 400 metres for the t11 visually impaired category.

Sayovo timed 50,44 seconds, while the Brazilian Lucas Prado ended in the first position with 50,27 seconds. With this timing, the Angolan athlete retains his paralympic record of Athens achieved in 2004 (50,03).

Angola participated also in the 4x100 meters relay, in males, finishing in the fourth place, timing 45,40 seconds.
