Kenya: EU to Spend Sh500 Million in Projects Countrywide

Nairobi — The European Union will spend Sh500 million to finance 65 projects in 63 local authorities countrywide, an official with the body said in Bomet District on Friday.

Mr John Nguri, a consultant with the EU, said that out of these funds, Bomet municipal and county councils will received Sh28 million for the implementation of water projects and an irrigation scheme.

The official made the remarks during the commissioning of the Sh18.5 million Nyangores/Amalo irrigation project.
