Nigeria: Amodu to Parley With Ferguson

21 September 2008

Super Eagles handler, Shaibu Amodu will be in England next week to understudy Manchester United's gaffer, Sir Alex Ferguson.

Chief Executive Officer of NVA, a London based management outfit, Chris Nathaniel told KickOffNigeria.com that this move is at the instance of his company.

Nathaniel told KickOffNigeria.com that it was due to the cordial relationship between himself and the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF president, Sani Lulu that this became possible.

"Because of the cordial relationship and the link between me and Sani Lulu, he asked me to assist in arranging the deal which is solely brokered by the NVA Management.

"He said he would cherish a situation where Amodu will understudy Sir Alex Fergusson. He asked me to use my connection and contacts with the club to arrange the deal.

"Initially when I told Sir Alex Fergusson he was skeptical because of his tight schedule with the club but he later agreed based on the premise that he liked the genuine intention of the NFF and he offered to assist," Nathaniel told KickOffNigeria.com.

"Amodu will have a date with Ferguson on September 22 and stay in England for a few days before returning to Nigeria.

"He would return to England again in October to continue from where he stopped in the first trip," Nathaniel said.
