Angola: Economic Undertakings Inaugurated in Huambo, Bié Provinces

Luanda — The deputy minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Filomena Delgado will inaugurate, next week, economic and social infrastructures in the provinces of Bié and Huambo, said Friday, here, the government official's adviser, Anot dos Santos.

Speaking to ANGOP, the source referred that, on Monday, the official will re-inaugurate a school for teachers of the future in central Huambo province and will officially open an upgrading course for 400 rural activists.

Anot dos Santos stated that the course shall be lectured by trainers of ADPP and will run until next December with the participation of rural activists of Huambo and of southern Bié province, who will be inserted rural development projects in their regions of origin, after the training.

He added that in Bié province, Filomena Delgado, who is also the co-ordinator of the Programme of Rural Development and Combat to Poverty, will inaugurate a drinking water treatment, abstraction and supply system and another of electrical energy, in Ringoma commune, Kamacupa district.

The adviser stated exactly that during her two-day stay in Bié, the official will also hand over, to residents of Ringoma, a community socialisation area, a craft-works centre, and will also officially open the sports events for local youths.

The source stressed that the work visit to Huambo and Bié, is part of the Programme of Rural Development and Combat to Poverty which started in 2007, covering the sectors of Energy and Waters, Construction, Trade, Education, Health, among others, of various Angolan provinces.
