Luanda — Angola's team of adapted sports on Sunday evening arrived in Luanda from China, where they participated in the paralympic games that finished on August 17, having conquered three silver medals, ANGOP has learnt.
The team to the games comprised José Sayovo, Miguel Francisco, Octávio dos Santos, Joaquim Manuel and Domingos Sebastião, as well as coach José Manuel.
José Sayovo conquered the three silver medals in 100, 200 and 400 metres, a contest for blind athletes.
Welcoming the team at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, in Luanda, were the deputy minister of Youth and Sports, Albino da Conceição, the meeting's chairwoman of the Paralympic Committee managing board, Fátima Jardim and Leonel Rocha Pinto member of the mentioned board.
At the airport were also Beto Ferreira and Palmira Barbosa, member of the ruling party's speciality committee of sports people and the representative of the governing MPLA women's league, respectively.
