Luanda — Two of the four Angolan children who had been sent to Israel over heart problems in July this year have returned on Monday in Luanda after successful surgeries.
While in Israel, Kadija Tiera, 10 months of age and Dalton António Domingos (three) underwent several treatments for full recovery.
Treatment and accommodation of people who accompanied the children were covered by the Israeli firm LR, that operates in Angolan sectors of agriculture, education and telecommunication.
Maria Teresa Baptista, mother of one of the children, said that her daughter left Angola with serious heart problems and is now fully recovered.
Accompanying the children in the trip came the LR chairman, Eytan Stibbe and three Israeli physicians who, with support of Luanda Paediatric Hospital medical staff, will select other children to keep the project going.
According to LR representative to Angola, Jorge Marques, the Israeli specialists will select from between 20 to 30 children with serious heart problems for treatment in their country.
He stressed that his company will sponsor the treatment in Israel of another 15 children until late this year.
