Somali insurgents attacked at least four separate locations in the southwestern town of Baidoa, including the homes of two lawmakers, local sources told Garowe Online.
The attacks took place midnight local time, with coordinated attacks on two police stations in two neighborhoods and the homes of two Somali members of parliament.
There were no confirmed reports of death, but witnesses counted at least 10 wounded people following the four nighttime attacks.
It was not immediately clear whether or not MP Abdulkadir Dhaqane and MP Ali Abdullahi Osoble were at home when the attack happened.
A police station in Mursal neighborhood and another station at the Suqa Holaha area were attacked, but it was difficult to ascertain casualties since the attack took place during the night.
Ethiopian and Somali troops were patrolling Baidoa streets Thursday morning and the town was reportedly tense.
A spokesman for the Islamic Courts guerrilla group claimed responsibility for the attacks on government targets.
Yesterday, three civilians were killed in a roadside explosion in Baidoa.
