Angola: Airport Police Trained in Civil Aviation Security

Luanda — Civil aviation security, measures, procedures and other topics are being tackled at a course for airport police officers that started Thursday in Luanda.

The programme that will go until October 30 is also being attended by Angola Airforce officers and State-run air company (TAAG), privately-owned Sonair and National Air Navigation Company (Enana) officials.

Speaking to Angop, the head of Department of Training of the Division of Human Resources of the National Police, Gabriel Jorge de Campos, said the programme will also focus on such topics as crisis management, crisis management planning, management teams and crisis management installations.

He added that the course that will be lectured by officers of the Portuguese Security Police, (PSP) will represent an added value to Angolan civil aviation security personnel.

The accord between the Angolan police and PSP was signed in 1996 as part of the relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries.
