Angola: Festisumbe Gathers Over 30 Musicians

Luanda — Two dance groups, six music bands and 24 musician in representation of Angola and Cape Verde have guaranteed their presence in the International Music Festival of Sumbe "Festisumbe 2008", to take place on 26-27 September, in the coastal Kwanza Sul Province.

ANGOP learnt that from this number of musicians it is included only one foreign band, namely the Cape Verdeans "Livity", who reside in Holland.

According to "Casa70", organisers of the event, from Angola are confirmed the participations of the Estrela Negra dance group, the musicians Eduardo Paim, Karina Santos, Proletário, União Forever, Mamborró, Bessa Teixeira, Zé Cax, Man Sembila, Justino Handanga, Ary, Yuri da Cunha and DJ Maló Jaime.

The Versáteis and Voga band, as well as the band of the singer Yuri da Cunha will also participate in the first day of the music festival, co-organised by the Provincial Government of Kwanza Sul, in partnership with Casa70.
