Angola: Country to Send More Children for Treatment in Israel

Luanda — The selection of Angolan children with heart problems for treatment in Israel will continue next year, under the co-operation between the two countries, on Thursday here announced the Israeli ambassador to Angola, Sagui Karni.

Speaking to ANGOP, during a visit to Luanda's David Bernardino paediatric hospital, the ambassador said that large number of children will leave for Israel in different groups of five people, until reaching 100 patients.

He added that this social project of the Israeli LR Group, aims at helping to decrease the number of children with heart problems.

Ambassador Sagui said that under the project, five Angolan children underwent surgery already, two of whom have already returned to Angola totally cured.

The co-operation in this domain started in April this year.
