Angola: U.S. Ambassador Assesses Projects

Namibe — The US ambassador to Angola, Dan Mozana, is since Wednesday in the south-western Namibe Province, to assess the projects funded by his country's government and implemented by national and international organisations, ANGOP has learnt.

During his stay in the province, Dan Mozena was received by the provincial governor, Boavida Neto, and visited the Namibe commercial port.

The diplomat highlighted the efforts being made by the Angolan government for the rehabilitation of the Moçamedes Railway Company (CFM), that in his opinion will boost the flow of goods from and to Namibe Port.

In Namibe, the ambassador visited tourism sites, with highlight to Namibe desert where he saw the famous Welwitchia Mirabilis plant that only exists in Angola.

A similar visit he paid to the neighbouring Huila Province.
