Luanda — Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, over the last few days got messages of congratulations on the "credible, peaceful, free and transparent"legislative election of September 5, Angop learned Friday in Luanda.
The messages came from the presidents of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, Mozambique, Armando Guebuza, Congo, Denis Sassou N'Guesso, Nigeria, Umaru Yar'Adua, São Tomé and Príncipe, Fradique de Meneses, and Mali, Amadou Touré.
The president of the ruling MPLA party that won the election with 81,64 percent of the votes also got messages from the executive secretariat of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and from the African National Congress (ANC) of South Africa.
