TASC player, Tshoganetso Malizimba is undergoing counselling after he broke the leg of new Township Rollers' recruit, Tebogo Mothusi in training.

TASC spokesperson, Jonas Ikgopoleng said that they have appointed a club official to counsel the player after his tackle from behind broke Mothusi's leg. He said that although he was not at training when the incident happened, they have talked to Malizimba who said that he did not break the leg intentionally. Ikgopoleng added that Malizimba has been very concerned about the injury. He said that he had advised the player to wait for Mothusi to calm down before he can talk to him. He said that they will try by all means to reconcile the two players.

Meanwhile, Mothusi is going through one of the toughest times in his football career after moving to Rollers from relegated Francistown side, TASC in the last transfer window. The injury means that he will be sidelined for up to four months.

A disappointed Mothusi told Mmegi Sport that the injury occurred after he received the ball and immediately passed it to his teammate at a training session but then Malizimba tackled him from behind and broke his leg. Mothusi is currently staying in Mochudi after being discharged from Gaborone Private Hospital. He said that while in hospital, the players and the management at TASC especially the chairperson and the public relations officer kept in touch with him daily to give him moral support. He was training at TASC as he waited to be transferred by his employer to Gaborone to play for Rollers. Mothusi works at the BDF Workshop in Francistown.

He said that he is disappointed that he will wait for four months before he plays for Rollers. He thinks Rollers will be one of the teams to watch this season as they have assembled a very strong squad. Mothusi has featured for Rollers in friendly games against Police XI and BDF XI and showed he is still one of the best midfielder and passer of the ball in the country. He is expected to add stability in the already star-studded Rollers' midfield, which boasts the likes of Amos Godirwang, Boitumelo Mafoko and Lesego Molemogi, among others.
