Angola: Ilda Bengue and Paulo Pereira Best Scorers in First Phase

Luanda — With 25 and 29 goals, respectively, Paulo Pereira and Ilda Bengue are the best goal scorers in the first phase of the national first division handball championship, in both sexes, whose first phase ended last Sunday in Luanda.

The captain of Petro de Luanda senior female handball team scored last Saturday six goals against Kabuscorp do Palanca totalling 29 goals.

Catarina Santos of 1º de Agosto is at the second position with 25 goals, followed by Leiden Manauta of Electro do Lobito with 24 goals, then Tania Ribeiro of Kabuscorp do Palanca with 23 goals.

The leader of the best scorers in the males category, Paulo Pereira of 1º de Agosto scored last Sunday seven goals against Desportivo da Banca totalling 25 goals.

Didas Pedro of Misto de Benguela lies second with 24 goals, Sérgio Lopes of 1º de Agosto stands third with 18, while Paulo Mateus of Sporting de Luanda is at the fourth position with 17 goals.

The quarter finals stage is to start this Monday at 10 a.m.
