Gambia: Governor Touray Refurbishes Janjangbureh Immigration Offices

Alhagie Ganyie Touray, the governor of Central River Region, recently sponsored the refurbishment of the offices of The Gambia Immigration Department in Janjangbureh, Central River Region.

Speaking during the refurbishment exercise, Sergeant Lamin Jatta, the head of the Immigration office, saluted Governor Touray for his foresight in providing the offices with furniture.

He said that such an act of generosity will go a long way in complementing the government's efforts. He then handed over a letter of appreciation from the director general of Immigration, recognising the great efforts of Governor Touray.

For his part, Governor Ganyie Touray, thanked the director general of Immigration for the letter of appreciation.

He said that creating an enabling working environment for the personnel of the Immigration Department was his priority as the representative of the president of the Republic in the region.

He spoke at length on the important role immigration personnel play in society.

Yusupha Manneh, the chief executive officer, Janjangbureh Area Council, emphasised the need for collaboration between civil servants in the region. He hailed Sergeant Jatta and his men for their hard work and dedication to duty.
