The management of Kano team, Kano Pillars Football Club, has paid 30 percent of the sign-on fees of the technical crew and players with a view to further gingering the players to greater performance.

This has however costed the management the sum of about N27 million with another N15 million earmarked for the clearance of its new players . Also, the bonuses to be paid the players have equally been jerked up with away win bonuses rising from N16, 000 to N20, 000 while victory at home matches is pegged at N10, 000 from the initial N8, 000.

According to a release by the Media Officer of Kano Pillars FC, Shehu Adamu, the chairman of the club's management committee, Alhaji Tukur Babangida, solicited for the patience and understanding of the team's supporters towards the performance of the clubside in the on-going Globacom Premier League.

Babangida reiterated the commitment of the club to defend the league title it won last season, pledging that it will also perform wonderfully well in the CAF Champions League in which it is flying Nigeria's flag. The Pillars boss therefore commended the Kano state government for releasing funds to the club to prosecute the season.

Equally expressing gratitude, some of the players thanked the Governor Ibrahim Shekarau led administration for its kind gesture, with a promise to continue to do their best in the on-going season in order to take the club to the next level, both in domestic and continental fronts.
