Windhoek — The Secretary-General of the Namibian Football Association (NFA), Barry Rukoro, has emerged with flying colours from the 5-day Fifa refresher course in Administration and Management of Football Instructors, conducted in Kampala, Uganda last week.

In its drive to develop a significant number of competent instructors in the field of administration management on the African continent - the world's football governing body (Fifa) extended an invitation to 22 participants from Southern and East Africa for the 5-day brainstorming session that saw 10 entrants falling by the wayside.

Rukoro was amongst a dozen successful candidates who qualified for the next round of activities. The participants were tasked to do presentations and the final judgement was based on their skills and knowledge of the subject at hand. It's not yet known where and when the advance course will be held.

The workshop was conducted by Fifa accredited evaluators, such as Africa's football guru Ashford Mamelodi, who hails from Botswana and Mathew Haikali from Namibia.

Haikali is a fully-fledged FUTURO-3 Instructor in Football Administration and Management.
