Windhoek — Telecom Namibia Eliminators table tennis club held its annual tournament at the St Andrew's Primary School in Khomasdal, in Windhoek last weekend.
The club must be commended for the efficient manner and spirit in which they handled the challenge - much to the satisfaction of players and spectators alike.
The organizers of the event thanked Telecom Namibia for its generous support.
"Without their input it would not have been possible to attract so many exciting players, especially the juniors," reads a statement from the organizers.
"We believe their continuous support for table tennis in Namibia will help encourage the youth to become part of a growing junior table tennis programme, which will keep this particular discipline alive and competitive."
The day produced top quality table tennis played by both senior and junior players, which provided the spectators with some spectacular and entertaining table tennis.
The players competed in four different categories, namely the advance, intermediate, boys junior and girls junior divisions.
Advance - This group was for the senior men and attracted 12 entries with Ramon Hansen from Telecom Namibia Eliminators coming out tops with a gold medal followed by Reinhard Schurz from SKW in second place.
