Luanda — Angolan singer CalÃ' Pascoal Tuesday in Luanda promised to work hard to be in ten running editions among the finalists of the main national music contests, especially "Top dos Mais Queridos" and "Top Radio Luanda".
"I have promised to do everything so that along these years, I have a song on top, either sung by me or produced for other artists. Lucky enough, I have all along been present in the final stage of every contest. This started in 2001, when fellow artist Virgílio Fire won Top Radio Luanda, with the song "Kazukuta Dança", the author explained.
The author of such hits as "Princesa Rita - DJ", "Deixa Cair Cumbu" and "Quem é o Homem" expressed satisfaction at winning Top Radio Luanda and coming second in one of Top dos Mais Queridos editions, saying that he is ready to continue scoring success for himself and other artists.
CalÃ' Pascoal began appearing in Top Radio Luanda in 2002. A year later he started to compete in the contest organised every year by State-owned "Radio Luanda" broadcasting station, with the song "Fofucho" he produced for fellow singer, Bangão.
In 2004, he returned in the final with "Um Amor Assim" produced for singer Nany and one year later he took two songs at the same contest and at Top dos Mais Queridos, with "Fim do Mundo" and "Titiriti".
In 2005 too, he was present at Top dos Mais Queridos with the songs "Kakixaka", which made Bangão a winner. After that, he led Fedy (2006) to both contests with the song "Namoro de Brinquedo".
In 2007 he helped Matias Damásio win Top dos Mais Queridos with the song "Porque".
Besides this, he produced another three songs that reached the finals.
