Kickoff (Cape Town)
2 October 2008
Orlando Pirates defender Destin Makita has again been called up to play for Congo in their World Cup qualifier in Sudan next week.
The centre back has featured in all five of Congo's group matches to date and will be needed as Congo seek an away win to advance their chances of progressing to the final phase of the 2010 World Cup preliminaries.
The qualifiers are also being used to determine the 16 teams for the next African Nations Cup.
Congo are tied with Mali at the top of the Group 10 standings, but unlike their co-leaders are away from home in their second round group phase match.
Mali play at home against bottom-placed Chad.
All four sides in the group still have a chance of progressing to the final phase, which will start in March.
Congo have dropped Kevin Andzouana who was recently given a free transfer by Lamontville Golden Arrows.
