Angola: Country in Brussels to Attend African Union's Meeting on Peace Plan

Luanda — The Angolan ambassador accredited in Ethiopia and in the African Union (AU), Manuel Augusto, arrived this Wednesday in Brussels (Belgium), to represent the country at a meeting which will analyse the implementation rate of the plan of peace and security of the African Union.

According to a press release from Angola's Embassy in Belgium, the meeting shall be between AU's Peace and Security Council and the Peace and Security Committee of the European Union.

At the meeting, the delegations will also analyse AU's peace operations and the implementation of the African standby force.

The current situation of Sudan, Mauritania and Zimbabwe are also on agenda.

The next meeting will be held in November in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
