Luanda — The national director of Oil, Amadeu Correia de Azevedo, this Wednesday here considered the inauguration of the "Pazflor" training centre as a complement to the efforts of the government in upgrading the Angolan manpower and guarantee them with knowledge to achieve working excellence.
Speaking to the press at the end of the inauguration ceremony, that official of the Oil Ministry said that the dynamic of the sector's functioning demands technically qualified staff at all fields, a demand that can only be achieved with the standardisation of strategies of developing the country's human resources.
In accordance to this, he affirmed that the government approved an essential document and the Oil Ministry is preparing a regulating tool to enable the systematic training and regular upgrading of national cadres to fulfil various tasks in the Angolan oil industry.
According to the national Oil director, the emerging of the centre is importance for the training of national staff and technicians, since the oil industry in Angola has been registering a significant progress since 1996, therefore the need to equip the sector with staff capable of dealing with new technologies.
Amadeu Correia de Azevedo said that Total Oil Firm will follow the whole training system outlined by the government so as to meet the necessities of operation zones, in fulfilment of the guidelines of the government approved by the Cabinet Council, which gives priority to the specialisation of staff of the sector.
He considered that the centre, in which will be lectured courses on "Introduction to perforation", "Valves and piping", as well as "Electrical Instrumentalisation", among others, will bring a new dynamic in the training of staff for the oil industry.
