Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has warned players of the Black Stars that indiscipline will not be tolerated in the national team however big the player is.
The Serbian revealed his intention of clamping down on disruptive behaviour by leaving out Birmingham striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie for next week's World Cup qualifying with Lesotho.
Rajevac was left fuming after the former Arsenal arrived late for last month's game against Libya claiming he missed two scheduled flights.
"Quincy has not been dropped from the Black Stars forever but he must think about why he has been dropped as guidance for the future," Rajevac said.
"Players must show that they are ready to die for the national team and his attitude before the Libya game was not good enough.
"He plays in United Kingdom along with Essien, Laryea Kingston and John Paintsil and they all arrived well in time but he opted to tell stories.
"He is still in my future plans and I love the way he plays. But the message to him and any other player who would not take the national team serious is that it will not be tolerated."
Birmingham coach Alex McLeish last month gave Owusu-Abeyie a half-time dressing down after the on-loan striker reacted badly to being substituted.
He also had disciplinary at Arsenal before being released by the Gunners.
