Uíge — Four hundred and 80 houses are being built across the northern Uíge province by the local Social Welfare Department, with view to accommodate elders currently living in improper conditions.
Addressing ANGOP this Wednesday, here, the head of provincial Department of the Ministry of Assistance and Social Welfare (MINARS), Simão António, said that each district will benefit from 30 houses to cater for the local elders.
According to Simão António, apart from the 480 houses, the institution is also implementing projects for the construction of sites where the elders can develop their tasks and some useful leisure activities.
