Luanda — The Confederation of Angolan Peasants and Farmers Associations and Cooperatives NACA-Confederação) continues to supply transportation means to its provincial branches, aiming at strengthening their work capacities, said Wednesday in Luanda UNACA's executive board chairman, Paulo Uime.
Giving an interview to ANGOP, which served to make a balance of his recent work trip to the provinces of Bié and Bengo, Paulo Uime explained that in the second semester of the current year his institution handed one car to 14 chairpersons of provincial federations and a motorbike to each head of district peasants and farmers association, in 15 Angolan provinces.
The official explained that the plan will continue to cover all of the country's 18 provinces, with the a view to facilitating the supervision of the work carried out by the associations, as well as to stimulate the increase of production in the rural communities.
UNACA-Confederação was officially formed on 28 July 2005. It currently controls 684 cooperatives and 6,192 associations.
