Johannesburg — THERE's a new name to add to the Best Company to Work for list. SA's largest vehicle finance house, Wes Bank, was named as the best large company in the Deloitte survey.

Brandhouse Beverages was named the best medium-sized company, and Business Systems Group Africa was tops in the small company category.

The study has seen some changes this year, which include naming the top-ranked companies in the small, medium, and large categories.

Given SA's skills shortage, the war for talent is fierce, and retaining and attracting the right employees is vital.

Overall management style, values and culture, job satisfaction, and change management were highly ranked across all categories of companies.

Of particular concern was the low ranking of the communication dimension (last in the small company and second-last in the medium company category). Communication has a big effect on the employment experience and it highlights an opportunity for improvement.
