Anthony Whelan, the coach of the Manchester United Academy and Academy Chairman John Shields are due in town today to make a follow up on the trip made by Proline Soccer Academy to the United Kingdom.
The two will also conduct a three-day coaching clinic for the academy coaches in Uganda as a contribution to collectively uplifting the standard of youth football in the country.
According to Proline Director Mujib Kasule, this is the first of many coaching clinics that will be hosted in the country. "The immense talent in Uganda is being systematically drowned by lack of modern coaching methods and styles, that is why you find brilliant young players in Uganda winning the U-10, U-12, U-14 Gothia and Tivoli tournaments at a canter and later finding those same players burnt out or fighting stalled careers at age 22," said Kasule.
