Luanda — About 3,000 people will attend Saturday evening in Luanda a "Show in Solidarity" with the victims of Cuba storm, during a gala that will be enlivened by that country's female music band "Caramelo Son" and local musicians.
The information was released Thursday in Luanda by the chairman of the business group "Chamavo" (official sponsor), Simão Júnior, during a press conference intended to account for the state of preparation.
According to Simão Júnior, the organising commission he leads, has placed at the disposal of the public a number of tickets for a Atlantico cinema full house.
He said as well that "Caramelo Son", that is already in Luanda, comprises nine Cuban musicians that will make their first appearance on Friday on the Public Television (TPA) "Janela Aberta" programme.
Until now, the source said, registered for the show are such local singers as Dom Caetano, Yuri da Cunha, Yola Semedo, Yola Araújo, Ary, Konde, Bangão, Afro Man, SSP, Kely Silva, Noite e Dia, Bruno M, Puto Lilas, Dany and Nito and Lambas, who will perform under a "Banda Movimento" support.
He stated that the Cuban economic situation will not enable the country to overcome the difficulties on its own, following two hurricanes that left thousands homeless and displaced, with huge damages.
"What we want is to show our reaction, the Angolan people's reaction to the suffering of the Cuban brothers. This manifestation of generalised solidarity reflects well the ties and friendship that unite us," he stated.
Simão Junior said that "Caramelo Son" will travel to some provinces of Angola, with stress to Cabinda, Moxico, Benguela, Huambo and others, whose governments show interest.
The tickets will go for Akz 1,500.00 and 3,000.00 (Usd 20,00 and 40,00).
