Sokoto — The Sokoto State government is to collaborate with Chinese investors to set up a cement firm in Tambuwal local government area in the state. The state governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko, disclosed this in Sokoto when the executives of the state chamber of commence, mines, industries and agriculture paid him a visit.
He said a group of Chinese investors would soon arrive in Sokoto for the commencement of discussions on the setting up of the firm. The investors would look into the possibility of establishing other agro-allied industries in the state, he said.
The state government, he said, was packaging soft loans for the establishment of small and medium enterprises (SMES) in the state and pledged that his administration would continue to provide the conducive atmosphere for all forms of businesses to thrive. The president of the chamber, Alhaji Tambari Ahmed, commended the administration for its effort at ensuring economic development in the state.
