Windhoek — This weekend the Southern African Church Organists' Association (Namibia branch) will host an annual general conference of the organists' association in the capital.

It is the first that Namibia hosts the conference. Representatives drawn from the Southern African region will attend the conference starting tomorrow.

Today at 08h00 is the church pipe organ competition for students at the College of the Arts (COTA) at the Eros Dutch Reformed Church, corner of Omuramba & Kuiseb streets. This competition with a cash prize encourages young people to study the church pipe organ. The competitors are Michael Lubinda, Jeremy Hanslo, Huemenchi Hugo and Johan Bingle.

The COTA Youth Choir, directed by Fanie Dorfling, will also be on stage, as well as the winner of Friday's organist competition. A prestige concert is also to be held tonight at 19h00 at the Eros Dutch Reformed Church (opposite Eros Shopping Centre, corner Omuramba and Kuiseb streets).

Entry is N$50 for adults and N$20 for children.
