Kampala — THE Inspector General of Government (IGG) has directed the Public Service Commission to review the appointment of the Budaka district health officer.

According to the IGG, the district service commission did not follow the guidelines while appointing Dr. Stephen Pande as the head of the health department.

The IGG said the law requires that the Health Service Commission participates in the interview and recruitment of health workers, who are at the U2 salary scale and above.

The IGG's letter said the district instead involved the ministry of health in the recruitment.
