Senator Dahiru Kuta Awaisu, representing Niger East senatorial district of Niger State, has said that the establishment of HYPPADEC would address the problems of Nigerians living in riverine areas.

The federal lawmaker, who spoke on a Radio Nigeria programme yesterday, stated that the riverine areas of Niger, Kogi, Kwara and Kebbi States would be better off when the bill for its establishment is finally passed into law, assuring that arrangements, consultations and lobby to ensure that the bill passes through second reading on the floor of the assembly are in top gear.

Senator Kuta also commended the efforts of all senators and members of the House of Representatives on the struggle for the establishment of HYPPADEC, and assured people of the affected states of federal government support towards actualising their objectives.
