Nigeria: Ajilore Replaces Ayila

6 October 2008

Femi Ajilore will replace injured Yusuf Ayila in the Eagles team to play Sierra Leone on Saturday.

Ayila hurt his thigh while playing for his club against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League two weeks ago and the NFF's chief media officer, Ademola Olajire says he will be replaced by Ajilore for the match.

"That is the only change we have for the team. All they other invited players will make it," Olajire said.

He also tried to clear the notion that the match will not taken seriously by the Eagles.

"Every match is a serious one. We know we have already qualified but we need to continue putting up good performances until the final day so we get a good seeding when the draws for the next round are made," Olajire said.

"The camp opens on Monday and we expect a full house of players before Wednesday," Olajire said.
