Angola: Minister Pledges Continued Intense Diplomatic Work

Luanda — Angolan Foreign minister, Assunção dos Anjos, said Friday in Luanda that the intense diplomatic work towards the main principles of Angola's external policy will continue.

Assunção dos Anjos said so at the end of the swearing-in of the new Angolan Government, adding that the work will be carried out both at bilateral and multilateral levels.

The official stated as well that efforts will be made to transmit abroad an image that reflects the new Angolan reality.

According to the minister, it is the image of an inclusive Angola that consolidates its democratic culture, tolerance and deeply committed to development.

He said as well that his sector will continue to cooperate and interact with other states and international agents, in the search for solutions to matters that concern the continent and the international community.

The new Foreign minister explained that these issues have to do with peace, stability, internal security and guarantee of rights.

He also spoke of Angola's contribute towards the harmonisation of the world, through a dialogue among men, with a view to the consolidation of the great goals of the humanity.

The minister said as well that Angola will continue with its policy on the country's community abroad, seeking to bring its members oser.

Assunção dos Anjos stated as well that wherever they might be Angolans can always make a contribute at the various levels, towards the progress and solution to matters concerning the country.

According to him, several congresses of Angolans abroad were held, which proves the will of the communities to actively participate in the development of the country and help to build a new Angola.
